| April in Vermont can be rather finicky. Snowfall during
this time is not an unexpected event, farmers calling the late season
deposit poor man's fertilizer. While areas to our south are enjoying
spring flowers in bloom, in Vermont the spring bulbs are just ready to
bud. A blanket of snow punctuated by the emerging palette of flowers is
a sign that the warm weather is not too far-off. Finding this brilliant
red tulip tolerating the blanket of snow was a delightful spring
surprise. |
