Solitude

"Solitude"

It is rewarding to share with people their feelings when they study this image. Solitude represents one of the most spiritual and creative experiences I have had in my work with photography. My mother was among the first people to receive this print. When it arrived, she called me to share her interpretation of what the image suggested. I had succeeded in conveying my own feelings of loneliness to her through this imagery. The flower is wild oats. It was photographed in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
