Crested Dwarf Iris
"Crested Dwarf Iris"
These flowers are among the early bloomers in the Smoky Mountains. They grow in clusters along roadside ravines and on wooded hillsides. I found these on my way to Noah "Bud" Ogle's cabin in the Roaring Fork area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
